Or simply something to keep the readers of this Blog entertained till I can report back the progress of my Haldir Elven Archer Armor. =__= Be prepared for a loooooooooooong post of whines and reminders.
Anyhow, I wrote down the list of costumes I wanted to do, split into Must/Probably List and Wishing/Dream-On! List. Below is roughly it with comments and why it's Must/Probably or Wishing/Dream-On!
So without further a do, here's the first set......
[A] MUST
[i] STAR WARS
1. TPM Sabe Royal Decoy/Escape From Naboo Gown
- Been on it since I first saw it in May 1999 when I first saw and fell in love with it. Since then, I had gone from wanting to do a Ghetto to Cheaply to Quickly to a more Realistic but Challenging Version of it
- So far, had decided with the fabric for the Dress (Gold-Yellow Silky Satin) and kinda for the triangular pieces on the Coat (Black Tafetta or it's more thicker conterpart). Maybe just use those excess Black Panne Velvet I got for the Coat, with Black Acetate Lining to weight it down and hide the ugly stitches for the panels. Hood will be Silk Velvet or any other not-too-soft-or-hard cheap Velvet
- Parts got at hand
- Spiderweb Lace (got to trim off some hole to let the Gold-Yellow Silky Satin peep through)
- Cardboard Egg that split horizontally
- Forehead Jewellery Piece
- White CanCan
- Research photos, infos blah blah
2. TPM Padme Naberrie Tatooine Peasent Outfit- Been on it since
1999 too but I can't dumped it off cause I already got the
Maroon Pant (
wonder if it still fits since I had gain over 10kg since I last wore it in 1997),
Blue Long Sleeves T-Shirt,
Belt/Sash,
Hair Braid Hairband,
Japanese Leg Warmer or
Japanese Long Stockings (
to be dyed),
Belt Button/Jewellery (
to be glued together and put a pin at its back), extra cloth for the
Wrist Binding and Cloth for the
Vest (
to be Dyed or just use that extra Grey Cotton Drill I got at hand).
- Anyhow,
Padme Buddies been bugging me when I gonna complete this Outfit so I'll be dressed like her. o__O
3. Singapore Jedi Padawan-
Description: Red Turtleneck Long Sleeves T-Shirt with White Gi, Red Tabbards & Obi plus White Pants. Boots is Black or Brown
- Can't run away as I had did the Gi last August 8th 2004 but it turned out too big so got to trim; Obi & Tabbards. Red T-Shirt, White Pants and Boots digged from my current collection.
4. TPM Maroon Handmaid Coruscant Cloak- Done it but got to fix the extra long plus peeping-out Linings
- Also add a proper front closure and paint the
Amidala Emblems on the front

Underdress: I'll think about it when I got the money and skills to spare. =__=
5. Darth Prion- My Sith Altergo ^__^ Costume based on Darth Maul's Outfit but with the position of the sleeves changed to the Undershirt
- Already got the Undershirt & Vest with the pants and boots dug from my collection.
- Just need to add a proper closure to the Undershirt, make the Belt (
like Darth Maul's), Gloves Gauntlets, Scarf/1-Piece Tabbard and Green Messy-Short-Showgirl-Cut Wig
- Also need to make the 98 Pleats Robe that is like Darth Maul's but the pleats starts from the Bust area down instead of the Shoulder like the original
6. Prequel Jedi Knight/Padawan aka Padawan Si-Addien- My Jedi Altergo before being found by Darth Vader and becoming his apprentice due to loss of Pre-Jedi Downfall memories
- Follow the basic Prequel Jedi Knight Garb in the shades of Brown and Pale Brown/Ivory with a more neater Green Hair
- Got the Brown Linen while the other materials needed can try digging from my cloths collection
- Need a more conventional Jedi-like look anyway to change my photo at
The Rebel Legion @__@
7. NJO Jedi Knight/NJO Si-Addien- Basically what my Altergo wear during the period of the NJO as seen under my
RL ID- Just throw on my Black Turtleneck/Mock-Turtleneck T-Shirt, Black Track Pants or Tights and Boots, plus a Black Vest with Tabbards & Obi to add a little eleborateness to it. -__^ Also need to get and wear a Green Wig (
short, showgirl cut)
8. ROTJ Tatooine Luke- A semi-ghetto version of it, related to the parts used in
7. The
cloak was the first cloak I tried to make but didn't finish as lost some parts O__O and did the cutting wrongly by adding
MORE seam allowance. The hood was lined in
Royal/Kelly Blue so that might make it
NOT Luke's
- Tried doing the
Vest using Cheesecloth but it turned out too big. Will settle it later....
9. ROTS Padme Green Cloak-
Maggie's page on it
- Cause the design is simple and direct and I want to do a simple outfit from
ROTS. Also can make use of my White CanCan to puff the Robe and
Arwen Wavy Wig- Later in July for
Fiona to wear as ROTS Padme. -__^
- Gotten tempted to do the Underdress too as it's just a simple Sleeveless, Quilted Dress and the Satin I can get now from Arab Street.
10. Imperial Officer- I need another costume to join the
501st Legion as an
Unaffliated to any
Garrison/Outpost member
- Kinda to start a "
new leaf" as
Lynn LOST & FORGET my application 2 times (
1st time applying was with that renegade/wanted-dead-or-alive Scott) 2-3 years ago tho' by the 2nd I had sent in photos of me in my IRG Costume with and without helmet as a form of temporary, confirmation photos. I also lost my ID I had reserved for
YEARS to someone in Norway. >__< - Anyhow, an Imperial Officer will be a better choice to speak with Darth Vader in the SW Sketch I planned for this
July's CosFest, as part of our presentation for the Group Category Competition
- Waiting for Kvan to reply back what color according to DMC Color Chart she recommand.
11. AOTC Padme White Battlesuit Ver. 2.0- Doing the whole thing from scratch this time
- Gotten bits and pieces of remnants of the White Cotton Lycra and only need to buy a metre or 2 more for remaining parts.
- White Pants will probably tailored out to this shop called
The Costume Shop which make such tights since it may only cost
SGD25 or little extra. Will see how my
Vanilla White Pants turned out like...
12. Imperial Royal Guard Ver. 2.0- Hybrid of the IRG Costume/Armor from ROTJ, AOTC and Crimson Empire
- Making the Cloak out of
REAL Velvet, modifying and repainting the Helmet and completing the Forcepike
[ii] LORD OF THE RINGS1. Arwen Blood Red Dress- Got the Navy Blue Velvet for the Jumper, Black Cheap Satin for the Underdress and Red Velvet for the Sleeves
- Just need to get the trimmings for the Underdress & Sleeves, Maroon-Red Paisey Pattern Cloth for the Upper Sleeves and Lining Fabrics. May change the Jumper Fabric to Black Silk Velvet instead if I can afford it.
- Pattern to be used for the Jumper and maybe Underdress are at hand
2. Galadriel Prologue Dress & Grey Haven Cloak- Been wanting to do this version of Galadriel's Gown for quite some time now since majority of people are doing the
Mirror Dress- Gotten this Vines-Leaves pattern Silk Chiffon for the dress tho' it seems better suited for the
Mirror Dress- For the
Grey Haven Cloak, I already got the Whitish Silk Satin and Habutae Lining fabrics, plus Silver 3D Paint
3. Arwen Battle Outfit- Ever since
Hira became to
first to attempt doing this Outfit, I been wanting to do it too. More infos and clearer sketches & infos at
ACS-LOTR is making it much easier to do
- Bought several metres of Maroon Velveteen (
Short Coat Cotton Velvet) for it but am unhappy with it due to its state when fraying and its slight stiffness. So will use
Maroon Silk Velvet (
SGD18 before bargaining) instead
- Already got the Sleeves Lining (
Flower Patterned Chiffon/Georgette) at hand and Arwen's Belt buckle bought from
Maggie4. Arwen Coronation Gown- Got the Light-Green French Lace for the Upper Sleeves. But need to paint its gold parts light-green
- Am looking for a Silver Indian Trimming for the collar and Upper Arm. Saw a great looking one when the new batch of trimmings came at the Arab Street Trimming Shop
BUT it was only 1 piece and someone bought it. =__=
- Will get the Underdress Fabric (
Pale Spring Green Crepe Back Satin) when I can spare the cash
5. Haldir March Warden Ver. 2.0- My current March Warden Outfit doesn't look right, other than the color scheme. Will redo it when the action figure it released.
- Got the fabrics for the Outer Shirt and Cloak at hand, with the inner one in need of correct dyeing job
6. Lothlorien Elven Archer, Rumil/Orophin/Anarien March Warden- Love the 2 costumes so want to do them. Same like Haldir's in that I got most of the materials I need.
7. Idrial Battle Outfit- Long story short: A Standee at my former workplace got me addicted to this Outfit
- Maroon Velveteen at hand and can use the same Arwen Belt Buckle I gotten from
Maggie- Sword is also like
Haldir's so can share there. -__^
8. Haldir Elven Archer- Half way doing it. This Blog is also the place I'm whinning about it. -__^
9. Prologue Elven Warrior- Got the templates and lots of hard vinyl
- Having the chance to rape the
REAL armor back in Mar-Jun wasn't any help to prevent me from doing it, isn't it? -__^
- Got to spare SGD900 for the UC Helmet soon....
10. Ringwraith No. 2 Ver. 1.2- Aiyah! Just trim the robes, upgrade them, add trimmings, do the skirt, finish the armored gauntlets and boots.
- Or redo the whole thing using the actual material used, that is Linen
11. Alan Lee's Illustration Galadriel- Addiction to making an Illustration into reality
- Can use the Vines-Leaves Patterned Chiffon for the Cape
- Remaining just use Ivory/White Silk Satin, Lining and a little thin trimming
12. Anarien Imladris Outfit-
Arweb Rivendell Farewell Dress (
Coat),
Elrond Salmon Robe (
Upper Robe & Pants) and
Celeborn FOTR Robe (
Lower Robe & "Pants/Skirt) inspired
- Got the fabrics for the Coat (
Vines Pattern Polyester), Inner Robe (
Baby Blue Matte Satin), Pants (
Nylon/Polyester Fabric) & Robe "Skirt Lining" (
Kelly Blue Crinkled Chiffon/Organza).
- Only need thin lining fabrics for the coat and finalized the design.
13. Anarien Grey Haven & Lothlorien Outfit- Still figuring out the designs for both outfits
- What I know that the
Grey Haven one is a Robe with a Light Baby Blue Cloak like
Galadriel's Grey Haven one and
Gil-Galad Crown upon her Golden Hair (
since she IS Gil-Galad's daughter and 2nd child, after Haldir)

Lothlorien Dress is similar in design to
Galadriel's Prologue one but
Blue and has a Stars-And-Moons Pattern Panne Velvet Tight Inner Sleeves below the Wide Chiffon Sleeves
14. Anarien Wedding Gown cum Crown- Her crown will be like
Arwen in basic design
BUT with the front/Side like Gil-Galad's and the back having a Pheonix/Fire Bird spreading out its wings towards the side. A little bit of Vines & Leaves can also be added to the sides to symbolized her roots among the Galadhrims aka Lothlorien, and her mother's roots being a
Silvan Elf (
that's why Haldir & Anarien has Blonde Hair and can blend in with the Silven Elves of Lothlorien, other than their Grandfather himself have Blonde Hair, being the son of Finarfin)
- Still no idea how her gown looks like tho' I'll prefer it to be Elvish in style and Noldor in design & pattern since she's still considered a Noldor Elf and is marrying a Noldor Elf (
Erestor).
[iii] HARRY POTTER1. 1942 Moaning Mrytle- Been at it for 2 years I think and still not finished. >__<
- Completed the Pinafold, Shirt, got the stockings, Mary-Jane Shoes and even Wand. Am using PoA Slytherin Tie and the Movie Harry Potter Rubies Glasses
- Will have to redo the robe, lengthen and line the cloak and order the Patch plus Wig
2. PoA Hermione School Uniform- This is actually a last-minute decision to do her for
Concerts for Children: El Zello & the Enchanting Orchestra! (SSO) Concert this
April 1st, 8.30pm- Choose her cause if I do the PoA Slytherin Student, most kids can't recoginized me =__= And I DO have a PoA Gryffindor School Tie at hand
- Got to make the Skirt, School Robe & Wand, and get the Stockings, Vest, Patch & Wig
3. PoA Slytherin School Uniform/Prefect- I'm a Slytherin at heart, tho' more of the kinder one but ruthless when crossed.
- Already got the PoA School Tie and can use the parts from
2. except the School Robe which I got to make
- Am planning to make a cloak for it too as ordering 2 PoA Slytherin Patch

Prefect Badge will be the
SS/CoS one and to be gotten from
eBay as soon as a
Green one pop up and is cheap.
4. Dementor- Reuse my Ringwraith Costume
- Just need to get the rotting-like hands for it.
[iv] ANIME/MANGA1. D School Uniform (DUAL!)- Got the fabric for the skirt & cuff, and the Blouse shouldn't be a problem to get anytime as it's just a White Cotton Drill or similar
2. Reiko Winter School Uniform (Gate Keepers)- Sharing Skirt with D and maybe the blouse will be the same material as the skirt tho' that means I got to wear something cotton underneath it. Or just use Cotton Drill....
3. Sevothtarte Ver. 2.0 (Angel Sanctuary)- This time more accurate to one of the Book Versions with proper tiara and even staff
4. Sister/Assassin (Angel Sanctuary)- Actually I had done it and only need to trim the Apron and get a Black Bow Tie, other than make the Headscarf
- It's kinda the simplified version as I'm using a White Skirt & Shirt instead of a Dress.
5. Vanilla (Galaxy Angels)- Kinda completed 2 years ago and only need to add buttons to the dress, make a proper CanCan, repaint my Boots and add the Boots cover and make the Cheek Cover
- Also style the wig and in the future get
Red Contact Lenses and make Nomad Doll with pocket to stuff
Clefairy inside so she can also cosplay
6. Hana School Uniforms & Grave Visit Dress- Winter, Summer and Tohru's Mom Grave Visit Dress
- Gonna get the Winter one done as I got the material needed and had dye it to Kelly Blue. May do the Summer Blouse together with the Winter one if the price is right
- For the Grave Visit Dress, may use excess Spider Webs Lace from my Sabe Gown for the inner dress.
