ON TO THE PLAN......

For my Main Haldir Undersuit, I'm partially making the parts from scratch, partially tailoring it out to my usual seamstress and partially using ready-bought parts.

The Scale Skirt and Neck Guard, I have decided to use the measurements and "template" Stephanie had provided at the Elven Archer Forum. Will edit the photo a bit to save on color ink, adjust the picture to her given measurements, print them out and put them on cardboard to make permanent template. Decide that while working at the Planet Games Exhibition, I can steal time to cut the pieces during working hours when there is no visitors and sew them pieces to the backing during Lunch Hours and on my way back home (going to work it totally out as unless I'm taking taxi, I'll be sleeping in the MRT till Jurong East!)

The Underskirt will be made from Red Velour/Velvet (I-Not-Sure-Which-One-It's-Now) for now till I figure out what fabric is soft enough to be the actual skirt. Anyhow, I gotten 10.75yards of the 72" Red Velour/Velvet a few days ago for my Arwen BR Dress Lower Sleeves, and even after I deduct it (1yard-1m) and an amount for the Haldir's Cloak, I still got a good amount left.
Don't think I got the mood to redo another Imperial Royal Guard Cloak for myself as I already got 2 (one Bright Red, the other more suttle red to match the unpainted helmet better). Blame it on my confusion on what color to use to repaint the helmet and working area problem.
Initially, I thot of using the Red Cheesecloth but later I realized that it's way too crinckled for Haldir's Skirt so gonna ditch it. I can reuse the cloth anyway to make an Inner Tunic/Gi for my Singapore Jedi "Padawan" Garb as it's enough at 4m.
Only thing now is to do the quater-circle pattern for Round Skirt. Once again, thanks to Stephanie for the advice on how she did hers and the method she used. ^__^ And here's her experience on using Velvet for the skirt which I think I should take note of since my fabric is now Velvet too tho' the coat seems pretty short (almost like my Arwen Mourning Dress Velvet, only this one is thinner and less stretchy):

"On the skirt I had to make kind of a 2/3 circle skirtin order to fit the fabric width and correct nap direction of the velvet. But if you're not using velvet a circle skirt would be perfect."

For the Sleeves and Undershirt, I had gotten the fabric and the T-Shirt I'm gonna slaughter for it. The only problems I faced is that not sure which of the 2 T-Shirt to allocated to which version. One is is pretty fitting on me while the other is pretty loose tho' sized smaller than what I usually wear. Anyhow, gonna unpick the sleeves off, use it as a template to make a new one, and sew them to the T-Shirt. Extra pieces will be cut appropiately to cover around the sleeves top. Then, gonna paint each dot Gold O__O starting from the cuff up.

I MAY or MAY NOT sew the Underskirt to the Undershirt. The actual one seems to but I'm not sure if sewing the 2 together may cause some problem wearing it later.

The Vest and Gloves got me a little stumped rite now. I can't decide if I want to go for Brown, so getting some Reddish Brown Vinyl from Arab Street or Chinatown, OR have 2 done using the Fire Engine Red Vinyl I gotten previously and paint one to Maroon.
